The Russian Tour Operators Association ATOR informed on decrease of trips amount by 30-40% this year
According to the Association Head, researches expected better results.
The TourDom.ru Magazine wrote previously that about two thirds of trips for New Year holidays would be booked in Russia.
Dmitri Gorin, Vice President of the Russian Tour Operators Association АТОR, said on air with the “Govorit Moskva” Radio, that tourist cashback, that started on October 15, 2020, offered a wide choice of a desirable destinations. You could take your time to make this choice.

Aeroflot welcomes tourists
The National Carrier cancels an amendment fee for flights in Russia and raises frequency of international flights.
Aeroflot cancels an amendment fee for the economy class tickets for all internal flights in Russia. The rule is applicable to all the economy class tickets, purchased from October 16, 2020, with a date of departure before March 25, 2021, inclusively, informs the carrier’s press service.
“Opportunity to rebook tickets without extra-charge may stimulate tourists’ demand for trips in Russia”, - shared Dmitri Gorin, Vice President of the Russian Tour Operators Association АТОR.
He reminded that earlier, at the first peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, airlines introduced similar measures to attract passengers. “Now in accordance with the present practice, when rebook a non-refundable ticket, about 500-1000 rubles is charged depending on the airline”, noticed Mr. Gorin.

It is noticed that one room apartment in Sochi costs on average 25,000 – 30,000 rubles a month. The rent may change significantly depending on the comfort level.

The number of flights to Antalya decreased
When are new directions expected to be resumed?
Number of flights to Antalya fell by about one third in October, showed the data collected from air boards, located in Russian airports, on October 23. If on a day of resuming flights to Turkey the international airport in Antalya hosted 70 Russian flights and 23 thousand Russian tourists, 47 flight s from all Russian airports are going there today.     
Dmitri Gorin, Advisor to the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism), said in the OTM winter 2020/2021 stream that the Moscow-Antalya became the world most popular route for some time. According to him, decrease of flights to Antalya was justified as season would end. It would be more reasonable now to open additional flights to winter resorts of Emirates and Cuba, as well as resume flights to new, safe directions, such as the Dominican Republic, as Ukraine did some time ago. Some analysts think that such measures to be expected in Russia.

“Follow the Sun”: travel regions for November were announced to the Russians

Experts of the Russian Tour Operators Association informed on the regions with the highest number of sunny days. The Leader for a November trip became Adygea with sixteen sunny days on average in the last month.
In Astrakhan there are usually ten sunny days. In Rostov-on-Don there are on average six clear days and 23 cloudy ones, broadcasts RIA Novosti.
Zarina Doluzova, Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, shared before, that the second stage of the Travel Cashback Program had started in October.
