Investing in the future: MBA

The second year of training for the top management of the Vipservice holding has entered the MBA program of the Higher School of Economics. This allows us to draw some intermediate conclusions.

First of all, it should be noted that passing this course is not a tribute to fashion. Before concluding a contract for educational services, Irina Solovyova, the general director of the holding, personally reviewed the program blocks thrice, identifying the most suitable combination of courses. By the way, she herself has an EMBA degree, which allowed her to do this most carefully and thoughtfully, based both on the promising business objectives and on the basis of her personal training experience. And now, before the start of each new block, HSE representatives conduct interviews with Irina Solovyova about expectations, adjusting certain points. “We note a truly individual approach,” Pavel Razin, Vipservice HR Director, comments on this cooperation, working with a corporate customer differs from the formed course of free listeners from different companies - we have the ability to customize, adjust for ourselves. It is important".

No less careful selection was made by the listeners themselves - their CEO chose them taking into account a number of parameters, and not just the functions performed at that time in the company.

The program enrolls 15 middle and senior managers. All of them are extremely enthusiastic about the process - and this is not surprising, because the MBA is a unique practical knowledge. The teaching staff are people of business, not only of science; fundamental baggage goes hand in hand with real cases. Therefore, the transformation of students is quite noticeable. Everyone finds exactly what will benefit his direction. Thus, a representative of the financial sector, an “Excel guru,” as his colleagues call him, immersed himself with real professional pleasure in the topic of quantitative methods in management. And HR, for its part, found a fresh look at some of the routine moments in the selection and certification of personnel. Also, colleagues could understand more about the specifics of each other's activities, observe growth through classes.

The holding's management attaches great importance to this program. Even in such a difficult year, it is important to continue learning and resources are sought for this. The goal goes beyond the current moment and the nearest consideration - an application for the future, for the formation of a powerful management personnel structure. Changes are already taking place - there are new appointments among the program participants, delegating large areas of responsibility to them.

It is important to mention that during the especially acute period of the pandemic - in the spring - classes did not stop. HSE showed itself from an excellent technical point of view, promptly providing all processes remotely. So 3 or 4 courses were completed. Now classes are held on the territory of Vipservice - in a renovated comfortable classroom. This was a prerequisite on the part of the company: applicants should not overcome the path in bad weather after a busy day, so that all their resources were directed solely to gaining knowledge.

Cooperation with HSE is bilateral: everyone understands the importance of practical experience. That is why students from the Higher School of Economics enter Vipservice for practice. In the fall, the second stream began work. 10 people are involved in the project of e-commerce market analytics, where they prepare materials on the three largest players. Upon completion, they will defend projects in front of the holding's management.

By September 2021, the program will come to its final stage. Its positive results are already visible today, and in the future - a qualitatively new management. Vipservice does not exclude the possibility of continuing the relationship.
