The interaction between tourism and civil aviation was discussed in the Public Chamber

The First National Congress of Travelers and Air Passengers was held in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Friday, April 6. This milestone event for the tourism industry was attended by the Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov, the Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko, members of the Public Councils of the Federal Agency for Tourism and the Federal Air Transport Agency, as well as the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. Director General of Vipservice Holding and Adviser to the Head of the Federal Tourism Agency and member of the working group at the Federal Air Transport Agency Dmitry Gorin participated in the Congress as a moderator of the "Aviation" session.

Questions of legislation in the field of tourism and civil aviation, safety of air passengers, cost and quality of services, protection of rights and interests of tourists and air passengers were discussed at the event.

The growth in domestic and inbound tourism in recent years led to an increase in the demand for air passenger transportation, which is the basic transport for the main bulk of tourism products. One of the central tasks of the Congress was a search for a concept of interaction between consumers of tourism product, aviation business and state regulators in order to increase the level of satisfaction of tourists and air passengers with quality of the services provided.

In particular, the Federal Agency For Tourism suggested using the possibilities of "Electronic voucher" to reduce the number of delayed and canceled charter flights: this information system will allow the aviation authorities to correlate the volume of obligations undertaken by airlines with their real capabilities.

Dmitry Gorin noted that the First National Congress of Travelers and Air Passengers became a good platform for a constructive dialog with airlines. The carriers were especially pleased with the message of the working group of the Federal Air Transport Agency, which considers the possibility of allowing airlines to get permissions for 75% of summer charter programs in advance, three months before. If this idea is implemented, the remaining 25% of charter plans can be adjusted and permissions can be obtained according to the scheme effective as of now: a month before the start of flights.

The First National Congress of Travelers and Air Passengers was supported by the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. It was organized by the Public Council at the Federal Agency for Tourism, the Russian National Association of Air Passengers and All-Russian Tourist Union.
