Tourism investments were discussed at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs

On Thursday, April 12, a meeting of the commission for tourism was held at the conference hall of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. Dmitry Gorin attended the meeting as the Director General of Vipservice Holding and the Chairman of the Transport Committee of the Russian Tourist Association TURPOMOSHCH.

The event participants discussed the issues of legal regulation of hotel services, classification of tourism facilities, amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation and attracting investments to develop tourism infrastructure on the example of the Moscow Oblast.

An important outcome of the meeting at the RUIE was the agreement with the Government of Moscow to include the holding into the working group on the development of tourism infrastructure and subsidizing the construction of hotels in the region.

The commission participants also touched upon the amendments to the Tax Code accepted by the State Duma in the second reading, enabling employers to classify vacation costs of their employees and their families, traveling across Russia, as payroll expenses. Such payments will go up to RUB 50 thousand per person per year. It includes the payment for round-trip tickets, accommodation and sightseeing expenses. "This bill was adopted as a result of joint efforts of the Federation Council and the Federal Agency for Tourism. We expect that it will contribute to the increased popularity of holidays at the Russian resorts and will lead to the growth in the tourist traffic on domestic destinations," noted Dmitry Gorin.
