We Open the "South Gates of China"

China has been a strategic market for the subagent business of the holding for several years already. 2017 was marked by a significant increase in the number of Chinese customers of Vipservice, which was achieved also by the involvement of the largest on-line agencies, TOP ticket sellers of China.

The natural result of such attention of the holding to the Chinese market was a reciprocal interest. Chine Southern Airlines, the world's third largest airline in terms of passenger transportation, noted a significant increase in ticket sales in 2017 among the Chinese partners of Vipservice and invited an employee of the Subagent business of the holding to a promotional tour to Guangzhou, where the carrier is based.

The tour was organized by the China Southern Airlines together with Guangzhou Travel Organization and leading Chinese travel companies to encourage their partners from around the world. Travel and ticket managers from the USA, Canada, Spain, Greece, the UAE, Australia and Russia came together in Guangzhou on February 14. Our company was represented by only two companies: large on-line travel agency and Vipservice Holding in the person of Guzel Poluektova, Senior Manager of the Subagent Business Sales Department.

Representatives of large Chinese mass media, which covered the event, showed a special interest to representatives of Russian business. Russians were in high demand among journalists from the China Daily, Guangzhou Daily and other periodicals to take interview from and take a selfie.

The travel of Guzel across Guangzhou and its outskirts lasted for one week. During this time, the guests were shown the brightest sights of the "Southern gates of China", that's how Guangzhou is called by locals. Guzel was particularly impressed by a night cruise across the Pearl River and a visit to the museum of traditional Chinese medicine, where all participants of the tour were presented gifts. "Now I have a large collection of bubbles with Chinese treatment agents. I just need to understand what for is each bottle. I hope that colleagues from our department, knowing Chinese, will help me," says Guzel.

Guzel's trip to China coincided with Spring Festival, Chinese New Year. And you will live through the new year the same way you see it in. Guzel celebrated the New Year in a pleasant communication with representatives of the Chinese touristic market and returned to Moscow with a large pile of business cards and a sea of good impressions.
