Igor Konstantinov on Further Progress of Biletix

For many years, Alexander Sizintsev managed Vipservice holding, specialised in retail sales. On October 8, 2018, he passed his office of the Biletix CEO to Igor Konstantinov, prior to that – the Sales Manager. We asked Igor to tell us about his new objectives and plans to evolve one of the best online services for travellers in Russia.

— Igor, on October 8 the news reached the market that Alexander Sizintsev, the founder and continuous head of Biletix since 2009, decided to join the developer company TAIS. You took over from a "patriarch", who managed to create a well-coordinated team of professionals. How did people react to it?

— Good. Luckily, the process hadn't got any pitfalls. I've been a part of Biletix since 2016. I know how the company works, so we can eliminate the painful stage of "passing the business". We have already determined our further strategy and key steps. Our coordinated professional team is ready to make sure the service keeps growing, and my goal is to turn all our plans into success.

— Please, tell us more about your plans.

— My key objectives as the CEO of Biletix for the next couple of years will be to ensure the stable growth of revenue and financial stability, introduce efficient automated processes, and expand the product range in all sales channels on the markets with the Biletix presence.

— What will be your steps on this way? What does one need to do in order to make a successful project even better?

— The market of online travels is growing rapidly; new niches and opportunities arise all the time. We need to keep evolving our business and form our brand by creating new values for our clients. We can do it by increasing the number of tourism services and products offered at Biletix. It is important for us to preserve this spirit of a startup — always moving, changing, looking for new openings, expanding opportunities for users.

— How do you see Biletix in a few years?

— For travellers, it is a service that allows you to make a trip out of components or purchase a grab-and-go tour, in the one-stop shop format, in a mobile or desktop version of the website. For corporations, it is a selection of reliable and convenient technology services, that will help them obtain more revenue under the best market conditions. For employees, it is a friendly team of experts, ready to grow professionally together, and efficiently automated processes. For investors, it is a profitable and promising project.

Igor Konstantinov became a part of the Biletix team in 2016 when he formed a sales block and headed it. His career started in the tourism industry in 2003 at S7 Airlines. From 2006 to 2016 Igor Konstantinov was CEO at Transagency Vnukovo CJSC, in charge of managing sales of transport and affiliated services at the Vnukovo Airport.
