Vipservice Cinema Festival with British Airways and Iberia

11 October was marked by yet another event that is a part of the Vipservice Cinema Festival. As you may remember, it is a series of themed meetings with the leading partner airlines and agents of the holding. The event is proof that work can actually be fun—after the meeting attendants stay to watch an interesting movie. This time, our 'cosy seminar' was organised by British Airways who recently celebrated their 100th birthday and Iberia!

The night's theme was the traditional British 'Five O'Clock': there was a buffet for the guests, with delicious cakes, beefsteaks, English tea, and Prosecco. And the Queen from 'Victoria & Abdul' herself greeted everyone on the red carpet. This is the movie that British Airways chose for all guests to watch together on the 4K screen in the media centre of Vipservice.

'We turn 100 this year. We feel proud that Queen Elizabeth II personally visited our office in the UK to congratulate us, she spent 2 hours there, and also visited the museum of British Airways', Irina Pichugina, sales manager at British Airways in Russia, shared the good news with us. She told us about the history of the airline—they have been maintaining flights between London and Moscow since 1959, and she told about long-haul aircraft that perform these flights today. She also mentioned the benefits of travelling with Iberia, which she also represents in Russia.

After that, Irina organised competition from British Airways and Iberia, with movie tickets and presents for those who had paid attention during the slideshow. In the meanwhile, representative of Vipservice gave special prizes to the participants of the #vipservicecinemafestival contest in social media.

This Friday night, no one was in a hurry to go back home. Instead, agents enjoyed the meeting with British Airways and Iberia and watched 'Victoria & Abdul', a very kind movie, together with their colleagues.
